Supreme Court mandated that – Delhi needs 11,000 buses, in addition to the Metro, by 2010.
(Responsible body = Dept of Transport, under CM of Delhi)
Only about 3000 DTC buses are on the road today. Delhi Govt. promised 2000 A/C buses by 2010.
  • When shall we get our buses?
40% of the City population travel by bus, only 14% travel by cars.
  • So who are we building 70 new flyovers @ 70 crores each for?
  • Why are bus operators being taxed?
